Yolanda Shiphrah Kadima lost her life on 072720 from complications from a routine cesarean section procedure that delivered her second set of girl and boy twins thus with women of color being 18 times more likely to die in Georgia during childbirth or from ensuing complications than their counterparts our mission is to promote and create safe birthing environments for women of color. The foundation will further this mission by increasing the awareness of the unacceptable mortality rates of women of color from childbirth advising expectant families on the pitfalls of the improper inappropriate and negligent care of women of color by the medical profession educating medical professionals on the risk factors that lead to these mortality rates erecting natural birthing centers connecting families to holistic birth workers such as doulas and traditional midwives and promoting and advancing the careers of natural and traditional birth workers.
