National Emergency Child Care Network – Free Child Care For All in Crisis
National Emergency Child Care Network (NECCN) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit that provides immediate child care services to families in the U.S. who are experiencing an emergency. Founded in 2024, NECCN’s mission is to ensure every family has equal opportunity to access and utilize free emergency child care during a crisis. Every year, families across the U.S. find themselves in the difficult position of dealing with natural disasters (droughts, tornadoes, hurricanes), or a human-made disaster (home fires, vehicle accident, school shootings). Regardless of the type of the disaster, such events create a crisis for families.

Our crisis intervention and disaster assistance is free for any family who is in need. Skilled and trained volunteers are dispatched immediately after the family calls the crisis line for emergency child care services. Volunteer child care providers will meet families at their home at a disaster shelter or where the crisis has occurred to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children.
