Dear HSDFF Community, We are filled with deep gratitude and excitement as we share the incredible news: thanks to your generosity and support, we surpassed our May Fundraising goal with a total of $40,650 raised so far this month! Every single donation helped us reach this ambitious goal, and we could not be more thankful. Your belief in our mission has sustained us for 34 years and helps us remain a vital touchstone for filmmakers and lovers of documentary film. While this is a major achievement worth celebrating, in light of recent federal funding cuts to non-profits and arts organizations, we are still working to fully match last year’s festival budget. Every additional dollar raised from here on out goes directly toward preserving the scope and impact of HSDFF 2025—supporting visiting filmmakers, audience programming, educational outreach, and the cinematic experience you’ve come to expect.
