The Coalition for Better Health Its Time to Make Tennessee a Place Where Preventing Chronic Disease Is as Important as Treating It. Making Prevention a Priority More than 70 percent of the trillions of dollars spent every year on healthcare in America is spent to treat chronic diseases that are largely preventable yet less than a nickel of each dollar is spent on prevention. The Coalition for Better Health is taking steps to significantly increase the number of Tennesseans who will have access to the type of preventive care that can help them from getting sick in the first place. We are an alliance of business community and government leaders focused on improving health outcomes in Tennessee.
