Unlike American aircraft, the folding wingtips on our Mitsubishi Zero weren't just to cram more planes onto their aircraft carriers. The Zero’s wingtips only folded enough to fit on Japanese carrier’s elevator. Keeping the mechanism simple and light helped preserve the Zero’s fantastic maneuverability. Our Zero is sandwiched between our Spitfire and Mustang in Hangar B.
