I am an ordained minister, contemporary Christian vocal artist, and director/playwright/actor. Locat To see people come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior and to see fellow Christians edified and challenged to a deeper walk of Faith. This is accompolished thru the performing arts and theatrical productions, camps for underpriviledged and "at risk youth". Evangelistic outreach thru Contemporary Christian concerts, Conferences, retreats.AIM ( artist in Ministry) designed to help educate and encourage Christian artists to use their God given talents to glorify Christ. This is a week long workshop preparing artists for ministry.Kids explosion- before school begins the youth that attend camp are treated to a carnival and get backpacks with school supplies and shoes.Comfort and Joy Christmas Party- for the campers and their families at Christmas, gifts for all the youth and their siblings, and food boxes with fixings for Christmas dinner.Lamplight Theatre was designed to provide quality entertainment plus promote family and Christian values. The 500 seat theatre serves as performing arts center to enhance skills of seasoned artists as well as train new actors to cultivate their gifts and talents. Each production is personally written and directed with a theme purposed to touch a heart by sharing the message of the gospel and the hope of Jesus Christ. The productions are written by BillyWayne Arrington, President of VPI/ Lamplight Theatre.Billy has traveled all over the US speaking and working with youth and holding conferences and retreats, and christian concerts. He has also done foreign misisons in the past years.Because of Billys personal back ground and work with students , he is able to relate to troubled youth in a way most cannot. He speaks truthful to them regarding all topics, abstinence, drugs, violence and other related topics that youth face today, through Gods word , music and testimony, a powerfull message of hope is deliverd to reveal Gods love and mercy.Through the productions he is able to reach the unchurched that may come to a show or productions when they won't attend a church service. We do not charge for ministry events and are financially supported solely through love-offerings and donations from individuals and churches. The theatre has a suggested donation for the productions however most of our shows are full of people that are given comp tickets as they cannot afford to pay full price. Several special fundraising events are held to help raise funds throught out the year. We are also supported as missionaires by several churches and businesses. The theatre is located in East Tennessee however we serve north east tennesse and southwest Virginia in our areas. However churches from all over send youth to the camps in the summer. The Ministry travels all over the US
