The purpose of the Nicholas J. Murphy Foundation is to provide financial support through educational, military, legal and charitable giving. Scholarships are provided for graduating high-school seniors who are entering the Military, grants are awarded to families in need who have a connection to the Armed Forces, free legal services are provided to low income families with a Military connection, and other donations are given to local charitable organizations. All of this is to honor our son and brother, Nicholas James Murphy, a member of the United States Navy who was killed on November 19, 2016.
