Welcome. On November 16 1904 five women from Lewis Institute in Chicago Illinois decided to establish a sorority based on the bond of friendship that had grown between them during their years together in high school and in college. The letters Kappa Phi Delta stand for Kale Philia Dunimus which translates to Noble Friendship is Power. Now many years later Kappa Phi Delta still continues to create and foster bonds of longlasting and powerful friendships between women from a variety of backgrounds of different races and religions and from different parts of the world.
