The Yellow Door Foundation Inc
Charity provides apartment lodging for families with a child fighting cancer or undergoing an organ transplant at UVA Children's hospital. Yellow Door provides free, long-term “sanctuary” lodging for the families of pediatric patients undergoing cancer and transplant treatment at UVA Children’s hospital. Our 5 one, two and 3-bedroom single-family apartments offer families convenient, comfortable “homes” as they fight to maintain as normal a life as possible when confronting severe pediatric illness. The apartment is theirs free of charge for as long as the child is being treated at the hospital.
