We officially opened Merion Gardens Assisted Living! Merion Gardens, located in Carney’s Point, New Jersey, is a warm, welcoming assisted living community which also offers a secure Alzheimer’s Unit. Their mission is to enrich the lives of their residents through personalized care that respects each person’s unique needs and desires for dignity and respect. PAWS Team, Ozana & Alan Lipka, along with their amazing Newfoundland, Bronco, were the perfect visitors to help launch this site. Despite Bronco's size, he was gentle and affectionate with each resident that he met. He was able to read the room perfectly and nuzzle close to those wanting and needing a little (or maybe not so little) puppy love. Ozana and Alan were kind and compassionate as they engaged in conversation with the residents and staff alike. Needless to say, this amazing trio lit up the room and brought smiles to the faces of so many people. Kudos to PAWS Team, Jeanine Erdner-Tindall & Charlie Brown, for assisting with the original site check at Merion Gardens, and to PAWS team, Bincy Babu & Juneau for reaching out and advocating for the partnership with Merion Gardens. And a huge thank you to Stephanie Lieggi and Shelly Ayars, Administrator, for welcoming PAWS for People into their site with open arms. (fb)
