Creatively exploring the relationship between humans and their natural, social, and built environments in a changing climate. Human Ecology's mission is to explore the relationships between humans and natural, social, and built environments in a changing climate. Human Ecology provides artistic and cultural programming that involves and supports communities that are primarily BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) in the City of Missoula, State of Montana, and beyond. Human Ecology recognizes that the climate crisis impacts human ecological relations when it comes to clean air, safe drinking water, sufficient food, and secure shelter, which disproportionately affects BIPOC communities, women, and girls. Therefore, climate justice serves as a lens through which we strive to implement our mission.
