Coastal Humane Society works to preserve this bond by helping people on the Outer Banks of North Carolina care for their pets. We understand that pets are part of families. Losing a pet is devastating to the whole family. Not being able to care for a pet because of finances is heartbreaking. Our mission is to ensure that all Outer Banks (OBX) pets and their people stay together; pets are healthier; and no one is forced to give up or compromise a pet’s care due to financial hardship. Coastal Humane Society is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity supported entirely by community donations. We’ve helped over 9,200 OBX pets and families since 1997.
