Home - Childhood Cancer & Leukemia International Consortium

The CLIC Foundation was formed to advance childhood cancer research, namely through providing resources to the Childhood Cancer and Leukemia International Consortium (CLIC). CLIC is a group of international researchers who study the role of environmental, genetic, and other risk factors in causing childhood cancers. Specifically, the CLIC Foundation will support CLIC by: 1)facilitating inter-disciplinary, collaborative scientific meetings; 2)developing the infrastructure needed for data pooling and analysis operations; and 3) promoting and enabling dissemination of results.

Home CLIC answers the questionWhy do kids get cancer. Despite encouraging advances in treatment childhood leukemia and cancer continue to take a heavy toll. Parents and researchers alike want to know the causes and whether prevention is possible. This is especially challenging for a set of diseases that are both very diverse and relatively rare.
