1St Brigade Family Readiness Group
The 1st Brigade functions as a cohesive family, with the FRG serving both soldiers and their family members. By supporting the Command Group (Commander and SEA), the FRG helps maintain soldiers' mission focus during deployments and training. This support extends to family communication, guidance, and morale-boosting events, such as unit gatherings. The Command Group views the FRG as a vital partner and engages with it regularly to keep family members informed and supported. The FRG employs a "family-involved" approach to assist in retaining soldiers in the TXSG.

FRG stands for Family Readiness Group and its primary purpose is to ensure the readiness of family members. Regardless of the unit the FRG supports all FRGs share a common goal to keep family members informed and supported throughout their service members career especially during deployments.
