Our mission is to expand opportunity, education, and the sustainability of Japanese arts in Chicago through outreach to diverse communities such as Chicago Public Schools, the Chicago Public Library, museums, and other philanthropic organizations.

Since 2016 The JAF has supported this mission by hosting unique programs and open educational opportunities that share Japanese art equitably and accessibly while highlighting our diverse community of artists thinkers and makers.
