Founded in 1972, Stanford Jazz Workshop is a nonprofit organization. We produce the Stanford Jazz Festival and in-person and online jazz education programs. Join us for Jazz Institute, Jazz Camp, and Giant Steps Day Camp, and listen to world-class artists at the Stanford Jazz Festival! The mission of Stanford Jazz Workshop is to educate, entertain, and inspire a community of artists, students, and audience members through the study, performance, and appreciation of jazz — an original American musical form. Our vision is to positively change lives through individual creative expression within a collaborative community that celebrates and perpetuates jazz. Our core values are creativity, diversity and inclusiveness, collaboration, respect, and practice. SJW is neither legally nor financially affiliated with Stanford University.
