THE ORGANIZATION OF WOMEN EXECUTIVES (OWE) WAS CREATED IN 1975 AS AN INFORMAL GROUP OF EXECUTIVE-LEVEL WOMEN IN THE LOS ANGELES AREA INTERESTED IN DEVELOPING STRONGER RELATIONSHIPS WITH THEIR PROFESSIONAL PEERS. OVER THE NEXT FIVE DECADES, THE ORGANIZATION GREW IN SIZE AND EVOLVED A MORE FORMAL STRUCTURE TO SERVE ITS MEMBERSHIP, RECRUIT NEW MEMBERS, AND MANAGE A YEARLY ROSTER OF LUNCHEONS, DINNERS, SPECIAL EVENTS, AND OTHER, MORE INFORMAL GATHERINGS.
