AIKAʻAU ʻAikaʻau, a lawaiʻa–fisherman, and a giant man whose name translates to mean “eat forty,” was known to be able to consume forty fish in one sitting. Although he had a huge appetite, he was very generous and often shared his catch. Molokaʻi is famous for the generosity that ʻAikaʻau was known for.
