All donations may be tax exempt. We envision a world where our rescue is not only saving dogs that have been left behind but also educating the community about the unique challenges dachshunds face, transforming each new volunteer and adoptive family into ambassadors for the breed. We are so pleased to announce that Oscar has been adopted. He gains to wonderful parents (dad made the trip to pick him up) and an adorable brother named Archie. Oscar settled in immediately and has been having a blast (see video of the new brothers playing).

Everyone please give a warm welcome to this chug puppy (Chihuahua x Pug) that our friends @startanimalrescue contacted us about and transported up from a shelter in California after being found as a stray puppy. We got quite a surprise when “he” turned out to be a “she”. Her foster family is coming up with a name for this 4-5 month old girl.
