Enrich Chicago

Founded in 2014, Enrich Chicago is a collaborative of approximately 40 Chicagoland arts and culture organizations and philanthropic institutions that are committed to ending racism and systemic oppression in the arts sector. Enrich Chicago (Organization) is a Chicago-area nonprofit comprised of philanthropic organizations (Enrichers) that are committed to anti-racist organizing within the arts. As a group, the Organization digs deeper within its membership organizations, and the greater community to uncover the systemic racism that hobbles the field of public culture in America. Through bi-monthly partner meetings, affinity space gathering, providing Undoing Racism workshops for community leaders, and other programming, the Organization goes beyond typical diversity and cultural sensitivity models to truly address the need for equity within the arts. Enrichers continue to dedicate extensive amounts of time and financial resources to develop a collective vision and plan to address the issues and dismantle current racist structures to create new systems of collaboration and equitable arts spaces.
