Jazz Society of Fairfield County Inc
It don’t support itself! It's up to you to support live jazz in Fairfield County! Your contributions help bring jazz to our local community and also help fund the ongoing maintenance of our legendary piano. Our mission is to enrich our county's cultural life providing free or low-cost performances by accomplished jazz artists, educational and performance opportunities for student jazz musicians, scholarship awards to students pursuing higher education in music, and outreach to underserved audiences and students in the wider community. Additionally, we acquired, restored, maintain and perform with an historic 1937 Steinway Model M grand piano, formerly the house piano at New York's erstwhile famous Village Gate jazz club, which has been played by an extensive list of iconic jazz musicians, attracts performers and inspires our efforts.
