Abilities First is a nonprofit organization that provides a wide range of programs and services to children & adults with disabilities in the Hudson Valley, NY. Abilities First is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving the needs of over 1,100 children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities from preschool through adulthood throughout the Hudson Valley. The mission of the Foundation for Abilities First NY is to serve as the philanthropic arm of AFI, by garnering the relationships and financial resources necessary to perpetuate the goals of the mission of Abilities First, Inc.- to provide people with disabilities and their families support to attain independence, integration, and acceptance by others through education, exploration, and experience.

🦋 A Beautiful Send-Off at Abilities First. Students and staff at the Myers Corners Education Center had the special experience of caring for caterpillars and watching them transform into butterflies—culminating in a joyful butterfly release. This hands-on project helped our students connect with nature, practice patience, and celebrate growth in the most magical way.
