American Trail Running Association
The RTRC is a community-organized local running and adventure meet-up, hosting events near Richmond, Vermont. We want to help our community members find confidence on trails, discover new opportunities for adventure, and form lasting friendships. ATRA, whose mission is to promote trail running, mountain running, ultrarunning on trails, and to provide resources for race directors and participants in our sport was founded to meet the needs of this growing user group and is membership-based. ATRA's efforts include environmental awareness and preservation of our nation's trails, providing an Event Standards Program for event directors and race participants, and offering a forum whereby the needs and concerns of our sport may be addressed. A comprehensive online calendar of events, current news on the sport, and links to relevant resources are all part of ATRA's portfolio. ATRA publishes a monthly e-newsletter, a quarterly newsletter Trail Times, and has a social media presence. We have national and international members.
