We believe that every village and town should have access to professional news coverage about locally important issues. Our project will develop strong community journalism and put it on solid footing, allowing us to develop sustainable news gathering. Our long term vision is to expand strong nonprofit hyperlocal news to all communities in Miami-Dade County, especially underserved ones. Our first project is in Key Biscayne, where one of our distinctive coverage areas is the environment, because our community is a threatened barrier island at the intersection of state, county, and federal parks enjoyed by millions.
