PTP Packwood Trail Project Trails Forests and Waterfalls About Us The Packwood Trail Project is a registered 501c3 organization dedicated to working with our community and local land managers to build and maintain a network of trails in the area surrounding Packwood WA. Objectives Our Trail Priorities Easy to Walk and Ride Trails with relatively little elevation gain or loss and that are sloped between 0 and 10 percent would decrease the difficulty of walking running and riding the trails in both directions. Below the Winter Snows Trails below the elevation of 2500 feet mostly between 1300 and 1800 feet would render the trails snowfree for most of the year and provide recreational trail opportunities where there are none now. Trailheads Near the Pavement Placing welldefined trailheads at existing paved roads would increase ease of access maintenance capabilities and provide well delineated access points.
