Exploring New Horizons - Transforming lives through outdoor education Our Programs Sempervirens Groups of up to 220 5th and 6th grade students attend 4 and 5day programs in the redwoods 6 miles north of Santa Cruz. Pigeon Point Up to 43 3rd8th grade students attend 1 to 4day programs at the historic Pigeon Point Lighthouse south of Pescadero. High School Leadership Over 500 high school students and parents volunteer as cabin leaders each year at Sempervirens acting as role models and gaining valuable leadership skills. What We Do Our Naturalists Inspire Exploring New Horizons engages school groups in outdoor education programs that empower students build environmental literacy and strengthen school communities.
