Bart ❤️ We said goodbye to Bart last week peacefully here at the sanctuary. After we exhausted all of the testing and treatment options for him there was nothing more we could do for him. His pain was SO immense he became immobile. Even with the highest form of pain management and assistance getting up was excruciating for him. He was doing so well here, it was heartbreaking to not have more time with him. Thank you all for loving him so much. Even though he was here for a brief time he made a tremendous impact on all of us. Beetle is my little baby and loves when I do their makeup now! We rescued Beetle after we took in a special needs chick we named Bug. Bug unfortunately didn’t make it. Beetle has been living in the house with us for the last few weeks and is one of the funniest little chickens I’ve ever met.
