We celebrated the start of a new chapter in affordable housing for San Francisco on April 16, 2025 with the Groundbreaking Ceremony of Casa Adelante - 1515 South Van Ness with co-developer Mission Economic Development Agency (MEDA). The project will bring 168 new affordable homes to low-income families, including units dedicated to formerly homeless families and persons living with HIV. Designed as an intergenerational community, this development will connect with the neighboring Casa Adelante - 1296 Shotwell, creating a welcoming space where residents of all ages can grow, play, and thrive. With family-friendly amenities and essential community services—including an Early Childhood Education Center and nonprofit space—Casa Adelante - 1515 South Van Ness will provide much-needed housing and resources for the Mission community.
