The Keizer Heritage Foundation was established in 1988 to restore the 1916 "Old Keizer School." In late 1999 this restoration was completed. The school is now the Keizer Cultural Center and houses the Keizer Heritage Museum, Keizer Art Association, Keizer Community Library and is the home of Keizer Homegrown Theater

Keizer Cultural Center Home KeizerFEST August 2024 Back Side of Keizer School circa 1920 In the early 1990s the save the Keizer school committee was struggling and the fate of the school was far from certain. Keizer citizen Carma Sue Milletta spoke to the Keizer city council advocating to restore and save the historic 1916 school these are her words. We cannot separate the school from the fabric of Keizer. The structure has always been and it deserves to stay.
