Today, we commemorate an important date as part of the America 250 celebration— the Battles of Lexington and Concord—the first military engagements of the American Revolutionary War. Following Paul Revere’s infamous midnight ride, the early hours of April 19, 1775 marked a turning point in modern history. British troops, under orders to seize colonial weapons in Concord, marched west from Boston.
