Our mission is to increase public awareness of RI's history of slavery by installing medallion markers at historic sites, linked to our documented web archive, that tell the forgotten stories of enslaved African and Indigenous people, and by engaging in research, community partnerships, and education programs about slavery and effects of that legacy today.
