No one realizes until they are here to witness it and hear testimony from the impoverished people we serve that struggle daily with chronic homelessness just how horribly inadequate, degrading, and scary life is for these people. They're here, existing moment to moment, believing in their home community, but numb from being threatened, insulted, and hassled by those that should be providing help. We're here to love and house them, and try to understand them.
