Non-profit 501(c)3 public charity; provides assistance/support to Greek adoptees with searching for family, reclaiming Greek citizenship & other relevant issues A nonprofit public charity providing free assistance to Greek adoptees/families with search/reunion The Eftychia Project provides assistance and support to Greek-born adoptees searching for their roots and Greek families searching for their children lost to adoption, with a special focus on the approximately 4,000 Greek children adopted abroad, mainly to the USA and the Netherlands, in the scandal-ridden decades of the 1950s and 1960s. By providing knowledge of the circumstances surrounding Greek adoptions and helping adoptees find and interpret their documents, The Eftychia Project hopes to bring adoptees and their biological families together and closer to their cultural roots, history, heritage and language.
