To provide cultural enrichment, create public interest and encourage participation in the greater Kansas City community by presenting musical performances with an emphasis on the Mandolin family of instruments and their history. To provide a medium for performing musicians and music education, by sponsoring orchestral and other musical performances. To promote playing and awareness of, and composition for, music written for the Mandolin family of instruments. To aid educational and musical growth of players of the Mandolin family of instruments. To encourage composition of new works for the Mandolin family of instruments by publicly calling for scores and developing a program to fund the commission of new works by both upcoming and established composers.
