Protecting and Preserving a Future for Wild Horses Our mission is to preserve and protect horses in the wild and to promote conscious and humane management. MAKING AN IMPACT WHAT WE DO The National Mustang Association Colorado NMACO supports the ethical and humane treatment of wild horses whether subject to the Wild FreeRoaming Horses and Burros Act or any other federal or state law. The NMACO promotes and implements sustainable conscious and humane wild horse management and care practices through education advocacy fieldwork research and stakeholder collaboration. Adopt a Horse When horses are removed from their home ranges in the wild NMACO advocates for habituationandbaittrapping procedures and lowstress handling to minimize the wild horses negative interactions with humans.
