May is National Speech-Language-Hearing Month and we’re celebrating MarinHealth’s Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists! Our Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists work with patients across their life span to evaluate and treat hearing, speech, language, cognitive and swallowing difficulties. At MarinHealth Medical Center and at our clinics in Greenbrae and Santa Rosa, our Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists provide comprehensive evaluations to identify the cause of hearing loss and and arrive at the appropriate course of treatment. They perform hearing screenings on newborns to identify hearing loss early in life, evaluate and fit hearing amplification devices for patients across all age ranges, and in the hospital setting, partner with our NICU Care Team to help take care of our most fragile patients. We invite women going through the early stages of having a new baby to gather to share their experiences and support one another at our support group for post-partum moms. In this six-week series, you and other moms-to-be will learn ways to help ease the challenges that you may experience during this time. The first class in this series takes place on June 16 from 11:00am - 12:30pm. This support group is open to everyone, whether this is your first child or fifth, and is led by a licensed therapist specializing in postpartum emotional health, Gina Borelli Moore, MFT.
