MLAP is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich maritime heritage of Northwest Florida. This region39s history is deeply connected to its coastal and aquatic environments including the Gulf of Mexico estuaries rivers streams and springs. MLAP focuses on safeguarding the unique sites and landscapes that reflect this history ensuring that the diverse stories of the people who have inhabited and interacted with these environments over thousands of years are told and remembered.
