The National Society of The Colonial Dames of America in the State of Louisiana actively promotes our national and state heritage through historic preservation patriotic service and educational projects. PRESERVATION PATRIOTIC SERVICE We perform a Parade of Flags presentation depicting our countrys history through its flags as well as a variety of programs honoring our military past and present and welcoming new citizens. EDUCATION Programs include an essay contest for high schoolers a variety of scholarships promoting the study of American history and educational lectures for our membership. Founded in 1896 by 12 visionary women we are one of 44 corporate societies that comprise The National Society of The Colonial Dames of America.
