Fostering Acadia A supportive community and a stable foundation to foster uninhibited growth. WHAT WE DO We support youth from 17 to 21 who are aging out of the foster care system and are ready for independent living. As the largest single site independent living program in the state of Virginia licensed by the Department of Social Services we are able to provide widespread opportunities for older youth in foster care to achieve their goals and live their best lives. a supportive community and a stable foundation to foster uninhibited growth.
