AIR was established in 1993 with the mission of implementing environmental education programs, Regenerative Farming methods, building efficient stoves and planting millions of trees with low-income rural families in Central America. The impact of this mission is to prevent lung disease, reduce soil erosion, improve food crops and nutrition, prevent deadly mudslides, while sequestering carbon and protecting the gift of the Earth.

AIR Guatemala – Improving Human and Environmental Health in Guatemala Choosing Hope SINCE 1993 Were a nonprofit improving human and environmental health in Guatemala. Deforestation increases mudslides and devastates the soil food security and water sources in Guatemala. AIR recognizes the best way to help the people in this area is to improve the land where they live. While reforestation is a key way to assist AIR has also developed a multidimensional approach beyond the obvious planting of trees.
