Great Bowel Movement Inc
IBD Community, awareness, and conversation starters since 2010. Patient powered 501c3. The original Ask Me shirts. #IBDcantstopME https://t.co/jAR2YYBTtJ Start the IBD conversation. The Great Bowel Movement is a 501(c)3 non-profit that empowers the patient community to increase awareness of IBD and Ostomies! The Great Bowel Movement is a social awareness movement with the goals of empowering patients associated with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) including Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis, as well as J-Pouch and Ostomy, to embrace their disease, be proud of their experience, and spread awareness throughout their communities.IBD is not big corporations, foundations, or pharmaceutical companies; it is me and you and all of us that live day-to-day with IBD and related conditions. By becoming our own personal spokespeople for our diseases, we can increase IBD awareness throughout the communities in which we live and work, and therefore, the world. We do this by providing tools to spread awareness, encouragement to become more open and accepting of your own disease, and a community to support each other. The Great Bowel Movement produces trendy “Ask Me” t-shirts designed to be worn out and about, and initiates conversations about IBD. It opens doors to conversations with colleagues or strangers, empowers those who wear them, and creates role models of those who have overcome, or are overcoming the challenges of living with chronic illness, who live their lives happily and successfully.

The Great Bowel Movement – making crohns and colitis cool since 2010 Awareness Shirts Share Your Story Connect with Us Our Story We started in 2010 as just two IBD patients like you who wanted to do something about it. Our mission from the beginning has been to foster conversations surrounding the complexities and realities of IBD fueled by an empowered active community of patients and caregivers like you. Theres a huge power that we all hold to be able to look someone else in the eye and share our IBD truth to create those education moments and increase awareness in our daily lives in our existing worlds. Were a 501c3 federally recognized nonprofit but were still powered by just a few patients and caregivers.
