About The Iberoamerican Board of Occupational Hygiene JIHO is a nonprofit organization created to promote expand and ensure the quality of occupational hygiene professionals in the practice of protecting and enhancing the health safety and environment of people at work and in their communities. The primary means by which this is achieved is through the development and implementation of the Certified Occupational Hygienist HOC designation that is the global standard for the certification of occupational hygiene professionals who primarily practice in Spanishspeaking countries. The credentialing system analyzes an individuals education experience and technical knowledge through a written exam entirely in Spanish to determine that the candidates possess minimum competencies in the anticipation recognition evaluation and control or chemical physical psychosocial and biological hazards in the work context.
