CAPSTONE ADAPTIVE LEARNING AND THERAPY CENTERS INC

Capstone Adaptive Learning and Therapy Centers provides high quality programs and services for children and students with a spectrum of abilities and disabilities. Here is a brief listing of our service offerings:Capstone Academy (4901 West Fairfield Drive, Pensacola and 5308 Stewart Street, Milton) has the only two charter schools in Northwest Florida for children ages three to five (3 to 5) years with developmental disabilities or delays. The schools are located in Pensacola at 4901 West Fairfield Drive and Milton at 5308 Stewart Street. Specialized curriculum, child care, and VPK are also available at both sites. Many of the children receive physical, occupational, and/or speech therapies as part of their Individual Education Plan (IEP).Capstone Milton Child Care Center is located on the Milton High School campus at 6656 Park Avenue, Milton. We provide child-centered and developmentally appropriate curriculum for over 50 infants to five year olds and voluntary pre-kindergarten (VPK) for four year olds. Through TAPP (Teen-Aged Parent Program) parents who are still high school students are able to continue their education while the child is being cared for at our child care center.Early Intervention services are for children birth to age three who need occupational, physical, behavioral, and/or speech therapies. Children are served in a “natural environment", which is usually the family home and, by the way, is the best model.Capstone Children's Therapy Clinics (5326 Stewart Street, Milton and 4901 West Fairfield Drive, Pensacola) provide one-of-a-kind “complete" therapy service for our Escambia and Santa Rosa County area children ages birth to 22 years. Our speech language pathologists and occupational and physical therapists continue to serve children with developmental disabilities, severe medical conditions, and behavioral issues. However, our newest offering at our clinics are feeding and swallowing therapies. The feeding and swallowing therapies fits our mission by providing effective evaluation and treatment locally to ensure infants, children, and youth receive the therapies needed to help them live a more independent and healthier Capstone Life!We have five wheelchair accessible group homes for youth and adults to enjoy life and gain independence in a family-centered environment. Our Residential Program provides homes in which people with disabilities can live, play, learn, feel safe, and receive the care they need.Capstone Transition Center, 2600 West Fairfield, Pensacola, is primarily for high school aged students to learn job skills as well as independent living skills to provide a smooth transition to adulthood.
