A non-profit 501c3 and CR Foundation THE TOUCAN RESCUE RANCH, INC. IS A WILDLIFE RESCUE FACILITY LOCATED IN SAN ISIDRO, HEREDIA IN COSTA RICA. THE TRR FOCUSES ON THE CARE, REHABILITATION AND STUDY OF COSTA RICAN TOUCANS AND OTHER WILDLIFE. THE TRR RECEIVES SICK, INJURED AND CONFISCATED BIRDS AND OTHER ANIMALS FROM COSTA RICAN GOVERNMENT AGENCIES AND INDIVIDUALS. TRR PROVIDES A LOVING HOME WITH THE GOAL OF PROVIDING APPROPRIATE MEDICAL TREATMENT, REHABILITATION AND THEN, WHEN POSSIBLE, RETURNING THEM TO THEIR WILD AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENT. THE TOUCAN RESCUE RANCH IS A LICENSED COSTA RICAN WILDLIFE RESCUE FACILITY. THE TRR UTILIZES A RAINFOREST RELEASE SITE APPROXIMATELY 40 MILES FROM THE RESCUE FACILITY FOR ALL BIRDS AND ANIMALS THAT ARE REHABILITATED. THE REAL PROPERTY THAT THE TRR FACILITIES ARE LOCATED ARE OWNED BY THE FOUNDER OF THE ORGANIZATION, LESLIE HOWLE, WHO DONATES THE USE OF THE PROPERTIES TO THE ORGANIZATION.
