The mission of the FACE of the Sickle Cell Communityis to coordinate a coalition between national and local communityorganizations, medical educational institutions and professionals, and ourinfluential African American community. We do this in the interest of promotinga more effective means of communication, resources, alternative treatment andresearch for a cure. We willcreate educational campaigns to increase awareness, thereby bringing the FACE of Sickle Cell tothe forefront of representation in mainstream media.
