Help Michigan Heroes Among them countless retired heroes who need PTSD treatment now. Police officers firefighters licensed EMTs and emergency room nurses have put their lives on the line to help our communities and now they need our support. While on duty our Michigan heroes have not only saved lives they have also witnessed multiple traumas and tragedies. Those unforgettable images and experiences have caused thousands to develop severe cases of posttraumatic stress disorder PTSD andor depression.
