Multifamily NW held the first Leadership Panel in Salem for property management professionals. The event explored the journey to leadership, the challenges along the way, setting personal boundaries, fostering good relationships, and the importance of maintaining a growth mindset at all stages. Our panel shared their experiences and offered valuable insights on what it takes to be a successful leader. Each attendee received a copy of Leadership 101 by John C. Maxwell to take home and read. Some of the day's key takeaways include - > Trust the process. Leadership is something you learn over time, and there is no specific path to follow. It is unique to each individual. > Your definition of success will change and evolve. It will also affect how you lead and how effective a leader you will become. > It is important to set good boundaries, but those boundaries may shift over time. As Randy said, "What you tolerate, you encourage." > You must care for the people you are leading. They are your support, but it is also your responsibility to develop their gifts and help them on their career journey.
