Huge thanks to Sisters Kiwanis for inviting our Heart of Oregon YouthBuild crew to lend a hand last Thursday! Our team was proud to help move items and set up for the annual Antiques, Collectibles, and Jewelry Sale. We’re always grateful for the opportunity to support our community! 💪✨ #YouthBuild #CommunityService #HeartOfOregon #SistersKiwanis (fb)

🎉Stewardship Member Spotlight 🎉 Jake works on the HOC Stewardship crew helping to sort recycling and litter at the Deschutes County Solid Waste facilities. He applied to the program because he wanted more job experience and the ability to work outside. Jake has been on the crew for about 6 months. What he enjoys most about the program is working with his fellow crew members and being a part of a larger group of youth programs at Heart of Oregon. Jake also likes traveling and learning about all the dumps and recycling stations in Deschutes County. He finds this work interesting. What drives Jake to do his best, is the pride he takes in his work. He said it gives him a sense of worth doing this important work and being in a community. ❤️ #stewardship #heartoforegoncorps #spotlight #empoweryouth (fb)
