Our mission is to serve as a community champion and resource for literacy and the literary arts by Organizing engaging festivals that introduce young readers to new authors and books Spearheading book drives for marginalized groups and communities Introducing workshops that empower new voices Offering special events and community programming that focus on sharing the written and spoken word Reading Is Revolutionary was founded in 2024 by Village Books owner Teresa Kenney to expand the reach and impact of the literary arts and literacy programming.
