Maniilaq Association is a nonprofit corporation that provides health tribal and social services to residents in the Maniilaq Service Area which is comprised of communities in the Northwest Arctic Borough and Point Hope. Maniilaq represents twelve federally recognized tribes in Northwest Alaska and provides services to a population of about 8000 people in an area of land roughly the size of Indiana. With approximately 550 in its workforce Maniilaq Association is also the largest employer.

Attention Vietnam Veterans and Families: The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) will be in Kotzebue on June 23–24, 2025, to assist all Vietnam-era Alaska Native Veterans with applications for the Alaska Native Vietnam-Era Veteran Land Allotment Program. Alaska Legal Services will also be available to assist heirs of deceased veterans in applying on their behalf.
